IAC Group is a global tier 1 supplier for automotive interior technology with more than 160 years of business experience. Their European division in Plattling, Germany, was in charge of producing the upper B-pillar for the Daimler C-Class W205.

Daimler has chosen styrenics for interior automotive applications. Hence, IAC specifically asked for our MAGNUM™ ABS family. Most important for the OEM was that the material features dimensional stability and stiffness even at low temperatures. MAGNUM™ 3325MT met all these required properties.

The material is renowned for meeting the requirements of cost-efficiency as well as it is globally available and locally produced in major vehicle production regions. In addition, MAGNUM™ 3325MT is also suitable for unpainted high- quality interior applications, which can facilitate further part cost savings.
